B i o g r a p h y

Elizabeth Marshall, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, received her Bachelor of Music and Artist Diploma degrees from the University of Cincinnati College- Conservatory of Music.  Upon graduation, Elizabeth became the cello instructor at Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio.  While teaching at Heidelberg, Elizabeth toured extensively with the Eastern String Quartet and the Reverie String Quartet, performing in Europe and Asia.  She has served as the cello instructor at the International Youth Music Festival, the Bowling Green Music Festival, and the Las Vegas Summer Strings Camp.

 

A versatile performer, Elizabeth has performed with some of the major headliners in the music industry, including Lady Gaga, Seth MacFarlane, Celtic Women, Lionel Ritchie, Andrea Bocelli, Weird Al Yankovic, George Benson, and Jon Secada.  Elizabeth was a member of Steve Wynn’s Showstoppers, playing the Broadway review at the Wynn Las Vegas from 2014 to 2017.   She also toured and performed in the Southern-gothic chamber pop ensemble, Justin Robinson and the Mary Annettes, with Grammy award winner and former member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Justin Robinson.

Elizabeth has worked for Strings Magazine, writing the Ask the Expert column and various other articles relating to the string playing community.  

 

A recent transplant to Portland, Oregon, Elizabeth has performed with the Portland Cello Project and the Portland Concert Opera.  She maintains an active performing schedule while cultivating her many other interests, including Pilates and yoga instruction, as well as Reiki healing sessions.
